NEW MCCAC PROGRAMS

Recreation Energy Conservation (REC)

The Recreation Energy Conservation (REC) program helps municipally-owned recreation facilities reduce energy use and GHG emissions by providing financial incentives to help identify and implement energy-saving projects.

Municipalities will be eligible to receive incentives for:

  • - Scoping Audits
  • - Engineering Studies to guide investment decisions
  • - Implementing energy efficient retrofits in their facilities

Electric Vehicles for Municipalities (EVM)

The Electric Vehicles for Municipalities (EVM) program provides funding to municipalities to assist their transition to an electrically-fueled vehicle fleet.

The EVM program will provide rebates for:

  • - More efficient and lower greenhouse gas emitting Electric Vehicles (EVs)
  • - EV Charging Stations
  • - Feasibility Studies
